Emydine Conservation Symposium
July 10–12, 2023
A Conservation Symposium for Wood, Blanding's, and Spotted Turtles, and related Emydine turtles, was held July 10–12, 2023 at Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. This symposium built upon earlier conferences in 2016 and 2019 and was the first to focus primarily on the conservation of the turtle subfamily Emydinae (Glyptemys, Clemmys, Emydoidea, Emys, Actinemys, and Terrapene spp.). Following a social gathering the evening of July 10, conference presentations were held in person on July 11 and 12. A special issue of conference papers will be published in Northeast Naturalist in 2024. Conference presentations were organized into the following topical sessions:
(1) Population Assessment and Genetics
